Job Title Driver / Equipment Operator Department Vegetation & Waste Management Job Summary • Operates machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets to excavate and load loose materials. • Drives company trucks to and from job sites. General Accountabilities • Sets up or inspects vehicles & equipment prior to operation. • Operates excavating machines to dig materials such as earth, gravel, and sand. • Dumps materials into trucks, onto conveyors or somewhere else on a work site. • Follows instructions from workers on the ground while operating machines. • Complies with all safety and health regulations, as established by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). • *The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Job Qualifications • Education: High school diploma or equivalent • Experience: A few months to one year of related experience • Valid Driver's License Skills • Communications skills—written and oral • Operation and control • Operation monitoring • May require exposure to varied weather conditions Comments Candidates are expected to be at the yard and ready for work no later than 5:30am.
