Caring, young family located in Playa Vista, seeking a dedicated and doting care provider for their 19mo old son. Family is seeking someone who walks into the house everyday with a great attitude and loving, happy disposition. Minimum 2 year commitment. Must be an experienced candidate who will care for their son like their own. Both parents have demanding work schedules. Client is looking for someone who will provide a safe, loving, stimulating, and educational environment for their child while they are working. In addition to childcare, the role will require light household duties. MUST BE PRESENT - We are not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. *Family is vegetarian and is looking to work with someone who is respectful of that lifestyle during work hours Schedule and Pay: M-F, 7:30-4 pm + flexibility for date nights and weekend coverage, $25-$28 per W2 + PTO (Rate will increase when #2 joins the family down the road) Your key attributes: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator - maintains daily log on how the day went and pertinent details of child’s development Loves being a nanny - doesn’t view this as a job, but more an opportunity to help mold a child and make a positive impact on their development and the family as a whole Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate needs of the family before being asked Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the infant and in-depth knowledge of child development and stages of growth Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain a routine schedule for chid/ren Reading, singing, and sensory play Reading books Makes suggestions on toys and activities Experience with multiples is a must Secondary responsibilities - household management Laundry for Family Meal prep for Family Light Housekeeping and organization Light Errands such as grocery shopping Must Haves: Multiples experience 3+ years of nanny experience 3+ years of newborn experience CPR & First Aid training Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI Non-Smoker Safe car for running errands Be able to provide 3 - 5 supervisory references Healthy and active - able to lift, hold and carry child Child development background ages and stages a plus
