ALPHA FIRST Tile Company, Inc., is seeking an experienced Foreman/Tile Setter to join our installation team. As a Foreman/Tile Setter, you will help us meet Government contract deadlines, and ensure projects are completed to specification. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, planning work, determining techniques to be used, and supervising, training, appraising, and apportioning work among crew personnel. Responsibilities: • Enforce employee schedules and construction timelines • Keep superintendent updated on progress throughout the projects • Understand and identify problems and challenges to each roofing system inspected • Safety Meetings and Daily Reports • Measuring the area that must be tiled to determine stock requirements. • Cutting and shaping tiles or marble to size. • Cleaning and leveling the surface area. • Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles or marble according to design plans. • Applying tiling grout. • Cleaning off excess grout and conducting post-installation inspections. • Complete all reports and records properly and in a timely manner • Other duties as needed Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: • Heavy focus on tile setting for Commercial or Residential environment Foreman, 5+ years (Required) • Good communication skills. • Advanced mathematical skills. • Knowledge of tiling designs and installation techniques. • Ability to work crouching or kneeling for long periods. • Good problem-solving skills. • English (Required) • Spanish (Optional) Our offer to you: • Equal Employment Opportunity Employer • Government Prevailing wages
