medium sized breed Looking for Maltese Puppy

I am looking for a small to medium sized breed. Maltese.....not too big, but big enough to go on walks. I live in my own house and have a large yard. I looked at shelters but they didn't have too many puppies. I don't mind paying a reasonable fee. However, the more substantial the fee, the more I would require documentation.
