Ok...I got several quotes on reroofing my house. I believe I'm being taken advantage of. I do not believe for once the price of reroofing is $22K. How could a house valued for $60K in Cleveland, OH or North Platte, NE (just an example) be charged that amount? That would be simple 1/3 of the cost of house. I feel these roofing estimators are taking advantage, knowing that my house is valued way more in West Hills. The cost of reroofing shouldn't be based on the value of ones house. I'm happy to pay 20, 25, 30 percent more for this project than in cities known for lower cost of living. But to pay 150-200 percent more than what this project would cost in Tulsa, OK or Provo, UT...not acceptable. Also, according to HomeGuide.com 2021 edition...an average cost of reroofing a house of 2,000sf is approximately $10K (asphalt and removal of old roof). Let's even consider pricing it for L.A. at an additional 30% more...that would bring the total to $13K. Any roofing service out here in L.A. willing to work with me? If so, please contact me.
