My family of 4 has been displaced since Sept. 1 after our Hasbrouck Heights apartment was flooded in the hurricane. It is me, my wife and two sons. We are running out of savings staying at local Hiltons and Holiday Inns and seek a Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi or Carlstadt area apartment to possibly sublet or a house to rent or share if there's enough space until we find something more permanent. We do not really have any furniture or much of anything but clothing so if it's furnished that would be ideal. We are very very clean and neat and would sign any agreement of assurance that nothing will be disturbed. Or also if anyone out there owns a vacant home on the market that we can occupy as renters while it's being shown, this too could be a fair arrangement. Naturally we'd agree to vacate once it's sold. Best case scenario either a six month or even a month to month deal would be most beneficial, weighing all options while we await FEMA relief aid and start to slowly replace our losses. Our main concern is to return some sense of normalcy to our children by having a set place to call home and not be checking in and out of hotels. Open to other options and suggestions.
