"Voices of New York," a quality adult community chorus, will rehearse Mondays Sept. 27-Dec. 6 from 6:00-7:30pm at West 20's location. Singers' experience levels range from none to extensive; everyone who can sing on pitch is welcome. Two- to four-part harmony. Age range 30's-80's. Very friendly, dedicated group. We work hard and we have fun! Repertoire will feature sacred and secular music of the Christmas season plus a Hanukkah selection. This is our "bridge term" back to normalcy (we hope) after being forced to suspend since March 2020 due to COVID. We will not have our usual concerts at term's end, and our rehearsals and term length will be shortened. ***WE REQUEST THAT ONLY THOSE WHO ARE FULLY VACCINATED PARTICIPATE THIS TERM. THIS WILL BE ON THE HONOR SYSTEM.*** You may wear masks while singing or not. There are various singer's masks available online which extend further out past your mouth and nose than regular masks to facilitate singing and breathing comfortably. Rehearsal chairs will be placed in sections slightly spaced out between chairs. If you find that you wish to sit farther from the group, you may do so.
