The purpose of the event is to provide families of all kinds much needed quality time to eat good food, play games and win prizes. Wildflower Home for Girls is a private 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization committed to helping the young women of the city of Dallas (and parts of Dallas county)and their families by providing a support system to facilitate peace and empowerment. The staff works with parents or guardians and the girls (on a voluntary basis) to resolve their conflicts so that they can come through the critical time of adolescence and young adulthood stronger and better able to address whatever difficulties they face. Wildflower also has a four prong community outreach service model that includes: Parental Support, Health and Human Services, Supportive Guidance and College and Career Readiness. WHFG has put together a fun and interesting family event to raise money for our holiday services and allow families of all kinds to spend time together. We will hear encouraging words from Dr. Maria Boccalandro of Dallas College, hear spoken word from poet Tro'juan Henderson, and play a game of bingo while enjoying a custom menu prepared by Jay's Catering.
