Here is your chance to try kayaking in your own backyard! On Sunday, Sept 19 with support of the National Safe Boating Program and Califor Here is your chance to try kayaking in your own backyard! On Sunday, Sept19 with support of the National Safe Boating Program and California Department of Boating and Waterways, the University of California San Francisco is offering free kayak tours (approx 1 hr.)  in the protected waters of Mission Creek. UCSF Outdoor Programs staff will provide a brief introduction to sea kayaking, including paddling techniques, boating safety, and local paddling opportunities.   Who can participate: Individuals and groups of 4 people or less Prerequisites: No experience necessary, must be able to swim wearing a lifejacket Children: Children must be at least 6 years of age or 30 lbs and accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Registration: Kayak Tour spots are by reservation. See above list of tour times and space availability. Parking: Street parking is available. We encourage walking, cycling or taking public transportation.  Outdoor Programs creates rejuvenating outdoor experiences for students, staff, and families in the UCSF community and general public.
