Hello: We are a trial law firm seeking “mock” trial jurors — ordinary New Yorkers of all kinds — to help our clients prepare for trial. There is pay and you can do one 90 minute virtual Zoom session or multiple virtual sessions. We want your input. The case involves the discussion of sexual and physical violence. It is a civil, not criminal, case. The dates we will need mock jurors for are: - Monday, 9/27 -Wednesday, 9/29 - Thursday, 9/30 - Friday, 10/01 - Monday, 10/04 Each session will begin at 5:30pm EDT and last until 7:00pm EDT. To participate, we will ask jurors to provide proof that you live in Brooklyn, Queens, or on Staten Island. We ask you to provide the following: age ethnicity highest educational level whether you are employed or not if employed, your job type your neighborhood of residence. You will be paid $30 for each 90 minute session. If you participate in all six sessions, you will receive an additional $75 bonus. Payment will be done via PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle, and it will be transferred the morning after each session. This opportunity is restricted to residents of Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. If selected, your video and audio must be on throughout the duration of each session. It is critical that you pay attention, and we will ask you to affirm that you will not be on any other devices during this time. If we believe in our discretion that someone is not paying attention or violating this request, we will terminate them from the mock jury without pay for that session.
