Description
Latinos United for a New America Third Annual Fundraiser Lunada Latinos United for a New America (LUNA) invites you to attend our 3rd annual LUNADA on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 from 4pm to 9pm. This yearly LUNADA is a cornerstone event supporting LUNA’s mission to unify Latino immigrants in the Silicon Valley with the goal of significantly improving the quality of life of our families and the future of our children through advocacy and civic participation. Since 2013, LUNA has been at the foreground of creating spaces to uplift the voices of latin@workers, renters and immigrants’ in order to improve the lives of people living in neighborhoods like Santee and Tropicana in East San Jose and create a democracy that works for all. The event will bring key partners and participants together to celebrate the mission and impact of LUNA programs. Guests will enjoy good food, live music, and hear impactful stories from residents of this area who are working hard to create a better life for all. In 2019, LUNA met its fundraising goal from individuals like you and helped pay for campaigns that included reclaiming land for the purpose of a community park on Midfield Avenue and Havana Drive, and an accurate census count from the high to count communities. This year’s LUNADA proceedings will be used to help pay for a community led effort towards protecting tenant's rights, and developing a leadership group in the Bonita and 24th neighborhood in East San Jose With your help, LUNA will continue to assist deserving communities in achieving their dreams of achieving progress and prosperity. ¡Los Esperamos!
