I apologize for the length of this ad, I have a lot of info posted. For those not wanting to read it all I'm posting the birds and prices first, then the instructions next, followed by everything else. I will mark them as sold as they go. 1: Yellow with a few grey spots and a little green- light green, greywing, opaline, recessive pied. Possibly Male. 2: Very light olive green, almost yellow one that has minimal markings on wings/head- light green, greywing, opaline. Possibly Male. 4: Light green and yellow with light grey markings on head/back/wings- light green, greywing. Possibly Female 5: Green and yellow with grey markings on head/back/wings- Dark green, greywing. Female 6: Olive green and yellow with grey markings on head/back/wings- Olive green, greywing. Female I am asking $15 each, the last time I was at Petco to pick up food the current price for one of them ranged from $30-$40 depending on sale/regular price. Contact me with the number you are interested in, I can take and send more photos of a particular bird if requested. Due to everything going on I am not having anyone in my home and will be meeting in town with the bird of your choice. They will come in a clear plastic carrier like the one pictured, while these cost twice as much as the cardboard ones I feel it's worth it as it makes it easy for you to see what you are getting when picking up. These young budgies are ready for homes. They're still too young to know 100% for sure which ones are male and which are female, I have posted my thoughts on what each of them appear to be. and am including a pic showing the differences for comparison. It can be really hard to tell the first six months or so and with the genetics present the males may or may not develop the blue cere, they could remain the pinkish color they are now, like dad, The females will all develop the white/tan cere and are already starting to show the white around the nostrils. All should be fairly easy to tame and were raised in a home with kids so they are used to the commotion. If you plan on letting them out of the cage daily and are wanting their wings clipped to slow them down a little until they become familiar with the windows and mirrors in your home let me know. I only clip the first 2 primary flight feathers on each wing so that they can still fly, It just slows them down a little while they learn to navigate your home. I do not clip all of their flight feathers like the pet stores because I believe it is dangerous. They drop like rocks and can get hurt when they try to fly, especially if they are in a large cage or aviary. It's much easier to tame one bird than it is to tame multiples, I recommend only getting one if that is your goal. Clipping does not make it any easier to tame them, building trust with them daily, Letting them come to you when they are ready is the easiest way. They are highly social creatures and if you only have one bird they will start to naturally gravitate to you to keep from feeling lonely. All of them were initially hand tame when they were fledglings, but they have not remained so due to them all being housed together and me not having the time to work with them individually every day. They are currently on a mixture of Brown's Premium Encore Parakeet Food and Kaytee Forti Diet Egg-cite, both from Petco but will easily adapt to any seed based food made for parakeets. Mom- Sky blue, greywing, opaline, yellowface II. Dad- Olive green, greywing, opaline, recessive pied. *Note* Parents are not for sale, they are pictured for those that are interested in the genetic traits the young carry. Feel free to contact me with any questions, serious inquiries only please!
