Description
WELLESLEY, MA — In conjunction with Wellesley's Wonderful Weekend, Art in the Park returns for a 7th annual community art event.
This year's project is the quilting bee reimagined. Artists of all ages will use colorful discarded fabric samples to create small rectangular collage samplers.
Each project will then be put together at the site, creating a series of community collage panels, designed for display in storefronts around Wellesley this fall.
With a simple goal to make art altogether, outdoors and in a supportive and congenial environment.
Launched in 2013 as a free annual event, Art in the Park was created to build community through making art.
Organizers say all materials are provided and no experience is necessary.
Art in the Park will be held in Simons Park, next to the Wellesley Free Library on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
