NORTH AMITYVILLE — A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting Tuesday night in North Amityville, Suffolk County Police said. The man was standing in front of a residence on Prospect Street near 45th Street around 11 p.m., police said, when he was struck by two gunshots fired from a passing motor vehicle. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
