MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester officials Wednesday sent out a warn g to residents after a new invasive plant was discovered in town. Municipal official said that the "mile-a-minute vine," sometimes called "Asiatic tearthumb" has been found in small patches in town. Residents should notify Manchester's Environmental Planning Department of the plant is encountered, officials said. "We hope to eradicate it before it gains a major foothold," officials said.
