Press release from the Arapahoe County Government: September 14, 2021 From state and local ballot measures to city council and school board races across Arapahoe County, the 2021 Coordinated Election this November will decide issues and candidates that will shape your community's future. Below are important reminders and a list of dates and deadlines for the upcoming election: Reminders If you've changed your name or moved since the last time you received a mail ballot, you need to update your voter registration ASAP, and no later than Oct. 25 to receive a mail ballot for this election. Seventeen-year-olds who will turn 18 on or before Nov. 2 can pre-register to vote in the election at GoVoteColorado.gov. They will need a valid Driver's License or Colorado State ID number to register online, or can use their Social Security Number on a form emailed to [email protected]. Colorado has same-day voter registration, so even if you put it off until the last minute, you can go to a Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) with your ID, register, and cast a ballot on Election Day. Dates and Deadlines Sept. 18: Ballots sent to military and overseas (UOCAVA) voters. Oct. 8: Mail ballots start being mailed to eligible voters 24-hour ballot drop boxes open. Oct. 25: Last day to register to vote/update registration and receive a mail ballot. VSPCs open. Nov. 2: Election Day! All VSPCs open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ballots must be received at a VSPC or 24-hour ballot drop box no later than 7 p.m. Remember, ArapahoeVotes.com has information on ballot content, election security and integrity, voting and ballot drop off locations, and anything else you need to know about the elections process in Arapahoe County.
