MORRISTOWN, NJ — The League of Women Voters of the Morristown Area has set up virtual debates for the Morristown Town Council and Morris School District Board of Education elections.
The council debate will take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 29. The public may submit questions here. Three four-year seats are available.
Confirmed candidates include Democratic candidates Toshiba Foster, David Silva and Nathan Umbriac and independent candidate Kristi Dimogerodakis. Independents Michelle Harris and John Thomas Jr. have not yet responded to debate invitations, according to the League of Women Voters.
The Morris school board debate will feature the three candidates going for two seats representing Morris Township: Katie Cole, Linda K. Murphy and Dawn Teresa Parkot. The school board election to represent Morristown is uncontested.
The school board debate takes place at 7 p.m. Oct. 5. Submit questions here.
All forums can be viewed live and afterwards on the LWV Morristown Area YouTube channel.
The Morristown council debate is co-hosted by the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Morristown Alumnae Chapter and the Morris School Board debate is co-hosted by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Pi Theta Omega Chapter.
