Beginning students welcome. All levels and ages. Yin is a deeply restful yoga style ideal for all body types. Do you struggle with slowing down, taking space to greive or feel your emotions? Do you feel lost, knowcked down, or overwhelmed? Do you feel blocked when you try to relax? Do you wish to honor time for greiving but don't know where to begin? These are clear signs you need to make time for your healing. Join us to gently open to be a witness to your healing journey, and mindfully embrace the moment. "Life requires balance. For every down, there is an up; for every outside, there is an inside. Yoga also requires balance. If you are only doing the “yang” forms of yoga it may be time to discover the yin-side of your practice. Prepare to be yin-spired!" -Paul Grilly, founding teacher of Yin Yoga. About the Instructor: 'Mel' (Melissa Lampl) is no stranger to grief or the Yogic path. Mel has been practicing mindful yoga and relaxation techniques for 21 years. While teaching yoga and meditation for the past decade, she discovered the style of Yin Yoga and Nidra most benifical when healing through grief and has never looked back. Mel wished to remeber those has lost by making space for others in her community to be with own inner witness on their journey of greif and loss. Intention: This class is designed to gently help you to slow down, safely observe where tension or trauma is carried in the body and connect to the infinite reservoir of equinamity within you. Each class is opened with a prayer / positive vibe affirmation. Please bring your own mat, towel and reusable water bottle. Blessings! North Eastern US-based healer, Makana has facilitated ancestral healing rituals and studied trauma healing since 2005.
