Join us for an historic walking tour through Holland to learn about the harrowing events of the 1871 Holland Fire.
The 150th anniversary of “The Night America Burned” is October 8-9, 2021. Five fires sprang up across the Midwest, including the Holland Fire which burned 80% of the city. Join us at the Holland Museum for a special day of remembrance including a display of artifacts that survived the fire, a timeline of events, readings of first-hand accounts from the fire, and historical walking tours.
Your $10 ticket covers museum admission and the walking tour (a $2 savings!). Please check in at the Holland Museum before the tour start time. Following the tour, please join us for readings of first-hand accounts from the fire and to see the artifact display.
