Description
The problem is -also- that people are constantly distracted by all their gadgets and multiple social media
formats that demand their attention. The pandemic and "other problems" has also probably did a number on a lot of people's mental health in general. There are also just flakes regardless of the social climate. Guilty of it myself.
Prior to the Internet-Social Media you networked with people through Shows, Flyers and Fanzines, etc. Yes there were flakes back then, but at the same time, you had to put a little bit more effort into meeting up with fellow Artists instead of just typing at your Smart Phone.
Seattle in general was at its' height during the "Grunge years". Just pick up any old issue of "The Rocket", "Backlash", and "Yeah" publications and the content and show listings will speak for itself...I know there are some great Musicians/Bands in Seattle-however, again, the Music aspect, including the networking seems to have been pre-empted by fallout from the various closures and "other issues".
