MERRIMACK, NH — A Manchester felon with several drug priors is facing more charges after a traffic stop on the Daniel Webster Highway in Merrimack last Wednesday. According to police, an officer stopped a vehicle on the Daniel Webster Highway for a motor vehicle infraction. The driver, Corey Cromwell, 33, of Tilden Drive in Manchester was determined to not have a license and his registration was also suspended, according to Sgt. Sean McGuire of the Merrimack Police Department. "During an inventory of the motor vehicle that Cromwell was driving, a firearm was recovered as well as prescription pills that did he did not have a valid prescription for," he said. Cromwell was arrested and taken to headquarters where he was processed and released on personal recognizance bail. Cromwell was in Hillsborough County Superior Court South on Sept. 15 for a bail hearing. According to superior court records and reports online, Cromwell was arrested on stolen property, resisting, disobeying an officer, and arson in September 2014 after an incident in Laconia. In October 2014, he was accused of drug possession in Tilton and Belmont in two separate cases. He pleaded guilty to all the charges in February 2015.
