MISSION VIEJO, CA —A woman was found dead inside her Mission Viejo home and her son has been arrested on suspicion in her death. Orange County Sheriffs Investigators located and arrested Charles Mosby (36) in the death of his mother Marie Mosby (69). No additional suspects or vehicles are being sought at this time, officials say. The cause and manner of Marie Mosby's death are pending further investigation. Charles Mosby, the woman's adult son, alerted OCSD that his mother was missing late Tuesday night, Orange County Sheriff's Department's Public Information Officer Sgt. Ryan Anderson told Patch. Officers discovered Marie Mosby's body at 11:30 p.m., though the Orange County Coroner and OC Crime Lab did not arrive at the scene until early Wednesday morning, Anderson said. The incident is believed to be isolated. "We appreciate the public's patience during our extensive investigation," Anderson said. "Our thoughts and prayers goes out to the victim's friends and family." This report will be updated when more information is released.
