COATESVILLE, PA — A $3 million winning scratch-off lottery ticket was sold in Chester County on Wednesday, making two big winners within four days in Chesco.
Rainbow Grocery, 1099 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, sold a winning $3,000,000 Payout scratch-off, the Pennsylvania Lottery reported Wednesday.
The game — $3,000,000 Payout — is a $30 scratch-off card that offers top prizes of $3 million. Players can learn more about the game by visiting the Lottery's website or downloading the Official App.
Four days earlier, a winning $2 million Pennsylvania Lottery ticket was sold at the Wawa store near the Coventry mall in the Pottstown area.
The winning Powerball ticket was sold in the Sept. 11 drawing at the Wawa at 260 W. Schuylkill Road, in North Coventry. The purchaser took the Power Play option and matched 5 of the winning numbers drawn: 20-31-38-40-49, but not the red number, 21. Even without the red ball match, the ticket was worth $2 million, the PA Lottery reported.
The retailers each receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
As a reminder, Scratch-Off prizes expire one year from the game's end-sale date posted at palottery.com. Winners should immediately sign the back of their ticket and call the Lottery at 1-800-692-7481.
All lottery prizes of more than $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.
