Press release from Mentor Public Library : September 14, 2021 Calling all Beatlemaniacs! Rediscover the magic, music and history when The Beatles performed at Shea Stadium during a program at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 4, at our Main Branch. On Aug. 15, 1965, The Beatles made history when they played, sang, sweated and joked before a record crowd of 55,600 fans. Author Dave Schwensen will take everyone behind the scenes and explain how that performance launched the modern era of outdoor stadium shows. This talk is free to attend and open to all.
