LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood voters narrowed the field of candidates running for at-large city council seats during a primary election on Tuesday. Based on unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, incumbents Tristan Rader, Sarah Kepple and Tom Bullock will compete with challengers Laura Rodriguez-Carbone, Kyle Baker and Mark Schneider for three at-large positions on Lakewood City Council. Eight candidates entered the primary with a chance of surviving to the general election in November. The candidates competing in the primary were: Kyle G. Baker, Bullock, Keith Davey, Kepple, Rader, Rodriguez-Carbone, Mark A. Schneider, and Susannah Selnick. Unofficial results: Kyle G. Baker — 1,694 votes Tom Bullock — 2,062 votes Keith Davey — 461 votes Sarah Kepple — 2,530 votes Tristan Rader — 2,797 votes Laura Rodriguez-Carbone — 2,105 votes Mark A. Schneider — 1,837 votes Susannah Selick — 1,000 votes Bullock, Rader and Kepple are all incumbents. Everyone else was a challenger. Live in Lakewood? We also watched the primary election for the city's municipal judge opening. The three candidates competing in that race were: Sara Fagnilli, Tess Neff, Brian M. Taubman. The top two vote getters, which appear to be Fagnilli and Neff, will compete in the Nov. 2 general election.
