New I-490 Closures Start This Weekend

CLEVELAND — Crews will continue to repair bridges along I-490 in Cuyahoga County this week, prompting new lane closures and restrictions. A number of closures will be implemented Friday and will continue in some form for days or weeks. Here are the impacts that are coming: Closure — I-490 east, between W. 7th and Broadway Ave. — The closure will start Friday at 7 p.m. and continue through 6 a.m. Monday. Drivers headed for I-77 south will be detoured along SR 176 to I-480 east to I-77. Drivers headed for I-77 north will need to continue on I-90 east. Closure — W. 7th St. ramp to I-490 east — The ramp will be closed starting at 7 p.m. Friday and continuing through October. Detour will be W. 7th St. north to Starkweather Ave. west to W. 14th St. north to I-90 east. Closure — I-490 east to Broadway Ave. — The closure will start at 7 p.m. Friday and will continue through early October. Detour will be I-90 east to Ontario Ave. Closure — I-490 east between W. 7th and Broadway Ave. — The two right lanes will be closed starting Monday and continuing through early October.
