LOS ANGELES, CA— A Tucson native will sing the National Anthem Wednesday night as part of an all-female mariachi ensemble in front of Dodgers and Diamondbacks fans in Los Angeles. Brisa Bergeron is a graduate of Tucson High School, KVOA reports. Bergeron moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and is a violinist and vocalist in Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, an all-female mariachi ensemble. The Diamondbacks finish a series with the Dodgers on Wednesday night at 7:10 p.m. MST. Thursday is Mexican Independence Day, and Wednesday marks the first day of National Hispanic American Heritage Month. KVOA reports Bergeron's parents used to be photojournalists at the TV station, and that her younger brother Ben, also a Tucson High grad, performs with the L.A. Rams Mariachi Group.
