Stillman Pivots To Virtual Learning Amid COVID-19 Testing Effort

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College made the transition to virtual instruction on Wednesday as it ramps up COVID-19 testing on its campus. The temporary change will last through Sunday, Sept. 26. Band, choir and spirit groups will also be suspended during this time, and the instructional components of these groups will be conducted virtually, the college said on Tuesday. "We will assess the possibility of returning to face-to-face instruction and holding in-person campus events when we have the data from the completion of all testing," said Stillman President Cynthia Warrick. Other changes announced All dining in the Hay Center Cafeteria will be take out only, with dining times unchanged.Sheppard Library will be open during its normal hours. However, students are encouraged to maintain social distancing and follow established masking guidelines. Other postponements include: Sophomore Rite of Passage that was scheduled for Thursday, in addition to Take a Swing into Mental Health, scheduled for Sept. 19.
