Shake Rattle and Roll is looking for a teacher. Preferably a strong singer, who can comfortably sing in the key of C, and plays the guitar competently. This is for the fall session. The new hire would begin by training and assisting at first, and then take on their own classes for the (indoor - fingers crossed) winter session. We are open to hiring a musical assistant (or two) instead, who would need to sing comfortably in the key of C, but no guitar playing is required. Both positions are for someone who is lively and energetic and enjoys working with young children and their grown-ups. The prospective teacher or musical assistant is ideally a student or alumni with availability in the mornings and/or a couple of afternoons. She/he/they can work at some of the classes, or all. Hours are flexible. Classes take place mornings through early afternoons 7 days a week, plus two later afternoons. We are currently working outside in the parks in Pelham, Bronxville, Larchmont, and New Rochelle.
