Job Description: Grounds Maintenance Technician (Mower Operator & String Trimmer) JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate and Maintain a Zero Turn Mower and String Trimmer to achieve a professional and neat appearance. As well take proper precautions to cause no harm, injury or damage to self, equipment and surrounding individuals and/or environment. Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of one (1) year work experience, in a related field preferred. • Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate credentials/background checks as required by the contract. • Ability to communicate effectively. • Knowledgeable and skilled in grounds maintenance. • Able to understand verbal or written direction. • Able to perform tasks without supervision. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Must have reliable transportation. • Valid Texas Driver's License is a plus. • Be able to pass background check in order to gain access to military facilities. Work Environment • Frequent heavy or intense physical requirements. • Frequent exposure to a number of disagreeable environmental elements, such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. • Constant precautions required, i.e., face mask, safety glasses, gloves, boots and/or ear protection needed at all times, company will provide. • You must wear steel toe or composite boots. • Be able to stand extended period of time, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch as required • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
