Hi I’ve never had to post one of these before and hope I’m reaching the right place.
I have a male cat white and with grey spots with stripes in the grey parts, who was to be neutered this week. He is around 1 years old. he was meowing in heat at the back yard window from indoors for months and we made the ridiculous un-thoughtful decision on Sunday of letting him out into our yard at our apartment complex because there was a wall.
He got over the wall (likely searching for a mate I think but I’m not sure) and I was logged into work at home and unable to immediately chase after him. When I did get a chance to look for him 25-30 min later he was no where nearby. Even though he has only lived indoors is this normal for a cat to travel away like that? He didn’t even stick around … my partner walked around the complex as well, no sign of our cat. He did spray in our yard before he left, so hoping he can smell that and come back..
we left his litter in the back yard and a blanket he use to sleep on with his brothers. Please let me know if you have seen this cat, he is normally timid but is likely in heat. When found he will be neutered asap. I hope he is alright, Thank you for your time and help. We have walked around with food searching for him in the complex everyday since Sunday (3 days now). At this point I need more help finding him 😞
