Have a love for concerts and comedy shows? Then join our team! The beautiful and historic Carnegie of Homestead seeks a Housekeeping Attendant for Special Events. This is a permanent part-time position primarily evening and weekend hours, with some daylight on occasion. This position is responsible for serving as an on-site point of contact for all commercial and non-commercial events held in our grand concert hall and other meeting spaces throughout the building. This position will also be responsible for supporting housekeeping staff as needed throughout the facility. This position employs no less than 20 hours per week, and could be as many as 30 hours during our busy concert seasons. We offer a competitive hourly wage plus premium pay during music hall events. Job Responsibilities: • Demonstrates excellent customer service and professional conduct when working with staff, volunteers and patrons. • Be readily available for hall volunteers, employees and promoter/staff for any and all on-site issues throughout shift on day of performance • Maintains adequate stock of cleaning and paper supplies for each performance • Keep restrooms and other spaces tidy and clean throughout performance • Ensures building is open as required by event/promoter staff on weekends as needed • Ensures all staff/volunteers/artists have properly exited the facility at the close of performance • Secures all doors, rooms, windows in building before closing the building A high school diploma is required for this position. This position requires reliable transportation to and from venue. Employee will be subject to a criminal background check, FBI and youth clearance check prior to employment. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk. The employee must occasionally crawl and maneuver in tight spaces. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
