Mortuary Transport
Night and Weekend Decedent Transfer Driver Needed.
We are looking for a night and weekend driver to transfer decedents from place of death to the mortuary. Week nights 5pm until 8 am the following morning. Weekends, Friday evenings beginning at 5 pm until Saturday morning at 8 am, beginning again Saturday evening at 5 pm until Monday morning at 8 am. We work 4, 16 hour shifts per week. Compensation starts at 15 an hour and 45 per call, may be higher based on experience.
You MUST be vaccinated for Covid-19 for this position. We also have a general background, DMV and drug test you must pass. We go by federal drug guidelines.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for the care, removal and transport of human remains in accordance with all state, local and company policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs removals of deceased from hospital, nursing home or residence to transport to Personal Care Center, mortuary or funeral home.
• May perform removals from prep rooms or embalming facilities as well.
• Maintains and ensures removal vehicle is clean inside and out and is properly maintained.
• Maintains adequate supply of Personal Protective Equipment in removal vehicles
• Performs duties with strict adherence to Identification Policies and Procedures
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• High School or GED equivalent
Certification/License:
• Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Professional appearance required
• Ability to follow instructions given over the phone or in person
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to work with kindness and compassion for the deceased and their families
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
• Must be able to work on a rotating on call schedule
