As with all the candidates running for governor should the Recall have removed Newsom no one was picked or selected they all ran of their own volition. No one was specifically running against Newsom they were running to be his replacement should Newsom be successfully recalled. Now Newsom has an * beside his name being a governor who was involved in a Recall which damages his reputation. This was the most likely intention by the organizers of the Recall the same as the Trump Impeachments, no chance to succeed only damage his reputation.
With 62 percent of ballots counted, and noes on the recall leading with 67 percent of the vote, Newsom survives handily.
Newsom absolutely destroyed Elder. Newsom quite literally went above and beyond all predictions.
That’s what I don’t get. It’s just so obvious Elder is completely unelectable, why would they pick him? I wonder if they don’t want to win cos it would mess with their fraud narrative.
But then I think, no, they’re just idiots.
This might have been made easier by the fact that Larry Elder isn't just Trump, but Trump with a rabid Tasmanian devil stuck up his ass trying to claw it's way out. But I 100% agree that they should lean more into this in other such cases and really needed to be doing more of it for a long while.
