Someone needs your help today ….. Join the Volunteer Program at Beacon Hospice!
Your gift is your presence. No matter who you are, you have something to offer our hospice patients. Typically their needs are simple – companionship, friendship, emotional support, someone to listen. It's the small things you do that can make an enormous difference in someone’s life.
Volunteering takes many forms. You can assist patients with reading, writing letters, enjoying music, playing cards, doing puzzles, painting nails, hand holding or just sitting quietly. Volunteers can also help by knitting/crocheting red, white and blue blankets for our Veterans, creating Charts of Life posters for our Dementia/Alzheimer’s patients or providing Administrative assistance in our Fall River office.
Beacon Hospice's Volunteers are an integral part of our team. Our comprehensive training program is offered on an ongoing basis and will prepare you to offer your vital support.
Volunteers are supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator and are supported by other members of the patients care team. To find out more about these opportunities please contact Erin Hassell, Volunteer Coordinator at
