Delivery Driver / Warehouse Manager
Job Tasks
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
• Load and unload trucks, vans, trailers or automobiles at the end of each shift preparing them for the next workday..
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers. Turn in receipts and money received from deliveries to accounting.
• Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
• Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations, such as residences, offices, or within industrial yards. Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
• Use and maintain the tools or equipment found on commercial vehicles, such as weighing or measuring devices.
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to the office, home base.
• Perform emergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs.
• Maintain warehouse, tools, inventory
• Occasional handyman tasks required.
• General Construction knowledge a huge plus.
Summary - Job Tasks Responsible for driving a light duty truck or vehicle to deliver and pick up merchandise or packages. Takes orders, intercepts package, and delivers to appropriate person. Obtains signature.
