"Lost Tortoise" Scam

Someone (or several people) are falsely claiming tortoises in the area following Ida. Tortoises are smart and strong, and have been getting out due to weakened fences and pens. Unfortunately, some people are trying to go around claiming tortoises that they do not own. If you want a full backstory, just go on the Facebook group "Lost Pets of Metairie and Kenner" and search "tortoise". Someone is also trying this on here. See the photo attached. Images are pulled from Google (image search "redfoot tortoise" and you'll see two of the photos a little bit into the results). DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING YOU FIND. They only want these animals to sell them or breed them to make money.
