Can you rebuild an alternator?

I have a 1987 20 foot RV with a Nissan pickup 6 cylinder chassis, that needs alternator belt replaced and probably alternator rebuilt...I say probably because the last guy several years ago just made a few adjustments and she was good to go, so I may be wrong. Either way she needs a new belt. Please email a line about your qualifications(ie how many you've rebuilt), availability and price...I am in oceanway. I believe I have the correct replacement belt already.
