Direct mail is the anchor of an effective campaign, surrounded by other resources such as invite cards, posters, road signs, banners, and online advertising. Job Description: SermonView, an Inc. 5000 Company, seeks a Warehouse/Mailhouse Technician to run our small warehouse where we process direct mail operations. This person will work with our internal sales & design departments as well as third-party print vendors to produce all print resources sold by the company. Most of the mailed marketing materials we produce for our customers will also be processed through our in-house addressing machine before it gets delivered to the local USPS office or to FedEx Freight for transit across the nation. Responsibilities include: The Warehouse/Mailhouse Technician orders all mail pieces for each campaign, along with any supporting marketing materials. This position reviews each job to ensure details specific to each product are provided and does a quality assurance check on each uploaded proof. Upon proof approval, this position selects the print vendor and submits the job for print. With a keen eye for timelines, this position shepherds each job through design, printing, and delivery, paying close attention to customer and vendor timelines along each step. There are multiple facilities we utilize for production, including our onsite addressing machine in our warehouse/mailhouse. The Mailhouse Technician is the workhorse of our direct mail operations, processing mailing lists & postal paperwork, inking addresses on mail pieces, and transporting filled mail trays to USPS and LTL freight for delivery. The Mailhouse Technician also handles assembly and daily fulfillment of physical products inventoried at our onsite warehouse. Upon shipment, this position sends shipment & tracking information to the customer, and monitors shipment reports for delivery exceptions on all products. What skills we are looking for: Organization/Time Management – You appreciate timelines. You don’t get overwhelmed easily and can manage multiple competing priorities. Attention to Detail – You can handle repetitive yet complex tasks. You have an active mind that can recognize red flags or when timelines may slip and can adapt quickly. Physicality – You can easily lift 50lbs. and like a variety of desk work and physical labor. You have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and you are able to make deliveries using the company vehicle. Ownership – You require little supervision and like flexibility. You have no problem managing your own schedule and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Requirements and Qualifications: Applicants must have two years of work experience in an office or warehouse environment, a basic proficiency with computers, and an ability to accomplish goals with limited supervision. Attention to detail is crucial while working efficiently under tight deadlines. The right candidate will have a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to work. Understanding of mailing services and postal regulations is a plus. The applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Compensation: $16.50 – 18.00 / hour, depending on experience, plus: - Generous paid leave bank - Individual retirement plans with employer contribution match up to 3% of your income. - Group Life & Disability insurance - Employee health insurance plans fully paid by the company Work Schedule: Regular full-time position budgeted for up to 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hourly, non-exempt employment classification. The schedule can be impacted by seasonal slowdowns when the schedule might drop as low as 10 hours per week without impacting qualification for full-time benefits. This is a position that has the most flexibility with the schedule. Travel: None outside of local deliveries using the company vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
