36% of Californians voted for the recall. Roughly 27% of these 36% voted for Larry Elder. So in a race between Gavin Newsom and Larry Elder, Larry essentially had 9% of the total vote in CA. Newsom had 64% support in CA. CA is true blue and will be for decades to come. Thousands of people move to CA every month. None (almost none) of them are republicans. CA gets bluer and bluer by the month. That must really piss conservatives off.
