Description
My name is Daniel and I'm the creator of a rapidly growing ridesharing company called Nomad Rides. Nomad is a rideshare service for Penn State students that gives $5.50 rides anywhere on campus! Students are flooding our service with rides and are begging us to get more drivers on the roads. This past weekend, our top drivers made $250 in 9 hours! You will transport students to the bars, house parties, and other fun spots around town. In particular, we are looking for drivers who can drive in the evening times for all day on Saturday (anytime between 8:30AM to 2:30AM). If you're interested in learning more and getting started ASAP, please text us "PSU Driver" at (814) 699 - 8659 and we'll schedule a time to connect over the phone. Students love how on Nomad, you can favorite certain drivers (we're starting to see what we call celebrity drivers) and request female drivers (a lot of sorority students request female drivers). Both our riders and drivers tell us that Nomad provides a safer, more fun, and more affordable experience! If you're someone who loves to drive, has fun meeting new people, and wants to make good side cash working on a flexible schedule, driving for Nomad will be perfect for you. Read below for more details about the position: - $20 / hr guaranteed. You can make more if you do more rides. - Must be 21 years or older - Must have a 4 door, 2006 or newer vehicle - Consent to a background check / driving record check - Have a fun personality as you will be meeting many other students ---------------------------------------- Nomad Rides is the first commission-free rideshare service. Where Uber and Lyft take a 40% commission, Nomad takes no cut. Our drivers make 20% more, while riders pay 20% less. Instead, drivers pay a monthly subscription to access the app (this does not apply to student drivers). Nomad is focused on large college campuses. The company was originally started at Indiana University (Bloomington, IN), and the app has become explosively popular there. Since our initial launch 2 years ago, Nomad has grown to 4 cities and has completed more than 100,000 rides. Additionally, Nomad is student-focused rideshare service. The majority of our riders and drivers are students, which makes for a safer and more fun experience than Uber & Lyft. Nomad has raised $1.5 million from investors. Our investors include Altos VC (early investors in Roblox), Y Combinator (early investors in Airbnb, Twitch, and Doordash), and General Catalyst (early investors in Snapchat, Warby Parker, and GroupMe). Nomad has also been featured in Forbes. The founders of Nomad are Daniel Jones and Michael McHugh. They originally launched the company when they were seniors at Indiana University. Daniel is a coder from Brown University, and Michael is a business major from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. We are always looking for entrepreneurial and startup-hungry students to help us build Nomad! If you are interested or have questions, please text us at (814) 699 - 8659!
