We are excited for Leneita Fix to provide resources & training for this year's FLD Student Ministry Leaders Training! Join us as we gather together to learn from Leneita Fix as she speaks on Leading Leaders & Anxiety and Stress: The Impacts of Covid & Beyond. Session 1, Leading Leaders: Your students need the best leaders there are. This session is practical and applicable ways to both train and lead your leaders. Session 2 , Anxiety & Stress: The Impacts of Covid & Beyond: Prior to Covid anxiety rates in Gen Z was already at an all time high. How do we help them process this at this challenging time? This is a one day event, 8:30 am - 2:30 pm, for Youth Ministry leaders and their volunteers with lunch included! We will live stream the event if you wish to attend virtually. Leneita Fix has a ministry career that has spanned over 27 years spent in urban, suburban and rural family based ministry. Her responsibilities have included Bible based program and ministry direction for children ages 5-18, family ministry, parent ministry, curriculum writing, leadership training, recruiting, discipleship, resource creation, and speaking to national audiences. She also has worked as a consultant with national ministries in strategic planning, direction, programming, and curriculum writing. Leneita has the great blessing of serving a variety of youth and families in many different settings. As so much of her her family life has been spent in the inner city it is an honor to live as a neighbor here loving her neighbors as herself. Currently, as the Executive Director at The Reef Institute, Leneita aids over 8,000 students a month in knowing the wonders of the marine environment in God’s creation. She helps connect vocational discipleship to God’s call to be good stewards of the world He gave us. Helping students understand not only the marine environment but how a career in science can also be used for the Lord; she helps kids see the ocean in a new way. She is the co-creator and director of the “Own It” Leadership Initiative at Berean Christian School working with Junior High and High School Students. “Own It” is a unique leadership program that empowers and equips students to deepen their faith in Jesus, foster creativity and grow as leaders. Through this leadership endeavor, she prepares students to lead beyond high school and to take their place in the future.
