Join Columbus Gives Back in preparing and packing takeout meals for the residents at Faith Mission! Columbus Gives Back is excited to partner back up with our friends from Lutheran Social Services prepare and pack takeout meals for the residents at Faith Mission! Where: 245 N. Grant Ave. Columbus 43215 (please go to Dock 1 at rear of the building and ring the doorbell) When: Tuesday, September 21st (4:30pm - 6:30pm) Event Leaders: [email protected] COVID-19 Precautions: Columbus Gives Back is following all recommended social / hygiene protocols. Masks are no longer required for outdoor events but please bring one to the event in case our nonprofit partners require them. Masks and social distancing are still required for all indoor events. If you were exposed before or test positive after having participated in a CGB event, please contact the event leader or reach out to [email protected] so that we can best support contact tracing efforts. About Lutheran Social Services: Food, clothing and shelter are the basic needs of all people. Due to unforeseen circumstances, sometimes people are unable to obtain these basic needs. That’s why Lutheran Social Services (LSS) offers a continuum of services to lend a helping hand. Through our programs, we reach 27 counties in Ohio with select services offered statewide. From single adults to extended families, our mission is to create a better world by serving people in need. About Faith Mission: Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio. Each year, Faith Mission provides more than 90,000 nights of shelter to men, women and veterans and serves three meals a day to anyone who is experiencing homelessness. No matter their situation, when a person arrives at Faith Mission, they are treated fairly, with dignity and without judgment. About Columbus Gives Back: We love Columbus, young professionals, and getting involved! Our mission is to connect young professionals across central Ohio and engage them in our communities through 35-40 social volunteer and philanthropic opportunities per month. #SocialTwist: We have begun re-introducing social twists, where we invite volunteers to hang out with us after an event to have fun doing something local!
