After the acquisition of his first technology company, and subsequent service in the Peace Corps, Davis co-founded his restaurant venture, Wasabi. Growing Wasabi to 12 locations in seven states over eight years, highlighted the disjointed data and systems that plague the back office management of restaurants - and also inspired his development of a solution and what would become MarginEdge. MarginEdge now provides powerful, real-time operational and financial data to over 2,000 restaurants nationwide and has over 300 employees under Davis’s leadership. Davis holds a BA in Philosophy from George Washington University, a Masters in Finance from London Business School, and a second Masters in Data Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Northwestern University. About the Series: Founders TALX are aimed at giving local entrepreneurs and leaders direct access to in-person deep-dives with notable local Founders - chatting about struggles, lessons learned, strategies, and successes. The Founder will give a 20-30 minute talk, and then we will open up the floor for a 15-20 minute Q&A.
