The DPW Bureau of Solid Waste and Food Matters-Baltimore is partnering with UME to host a home composting workshop. Interested in reducing food waste in your home? This free compost workshop will expand your knowledge of food waste reduction strategies and teach you the skills to successfully compost your food scraps! The DPW Bureau of Solid Waste and Food Matters-Baltimore are partnering with the University of Maryland Extension to teach about food waste reduction, the benefits of composting, and how to successfully maintain a backyard compost system. The workshop will be held at the Pimlico Public Safety Training Center, located on Park Heights and Manhattan Avenues. Masks will be required for everyone who attends. All participants will be able to take home a free composting bin courtesy of the DPW Bureau of Solid Waste. If you register and are no longer able to attend, please email [email protected].
