Dear Contractors, We are looking for a quality licensed contractor with a staff that can help renovate my mother's 1800 square foot house in Yonkers, New York that was built in 1955. This home is in decent shape but it needs plenty of cosmetic repairs and some code updating for possible resale. There will be some plumbing and electrical issues that will need updating. In the scope of work, we must remove about 150 ft of fence and also replace it with something tasteful. The purview of the work indoors includes; a basement remodeling, a third floor room division, remodeling a bathroom, updating another bathroom, lots of sheetrock and molding everywhere, sanding floors, adding emergency windows, complete paint job, power washing siding and central air conditioning and a sprinkler system. This home has three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, living room, dining room, kitchen and a playroom. What will make this challenging? Whoever accepts this task will not work with blueprints but the ability to take the owner's vision to fruition. It's not a complex job, but honesty, thoroughness and craftsmanship are paramount. Garbage and debris will be taken seriously and removed daily or possible into a dumpster. We don't want to bring attention to the area with a big mess. We have a sizable lot to conceal debris. Licensed plumbers and electricians will be needed for some updates and repairs. I have worked with contractors all my life so I know the process. We are looking for a price per square foot that someone is willing to come in and do a fantastic job on my mother's home. If you are a good contractor, some things will need a permit and other things are cosmetic. However, we have to pass code. We are willing to pay cash for this if you are the right person. We are taking bids per square foot to take care of the entire project. I am willing to go into a contract with someone who is willing to take some money up front, some in the middle and some at the end as long as they meet all of the deadlines required.
