We are looking for an artful Set Builder / Interior designer to help design and build interior sets for several photo studios. You will be working with the studio founder, developing interior ideas, shopping for props and interior details (mostly online/amazon), building elements of the design and props, coordinating sub-contractors to make sure the set idea is implemented as planned. Responsibilities: Research and suggest new projects/interior improvement ideas Oversee set design project from concept to completion Estimate new set design costs Research and decide on props and materials sourcing Supervise work progress, working closely with contractors Skills: Creative talent, imagination, and eye for design Understanding photographers/videographers needs Communication and coordination skills Carpeting skills, building interior partitions, painting, plastering etc. Experience with prop building and faux techniques is a big plus (to create faux wood texture, concrete or stone for example). Photography or videography experience is a big plus as well.
