We're looking for an energized automotive professional with knowledge of service writing to join our team in New York City. As a Service Writer, you will report into our Service Manager and be responsible for the efficient operation and control of work requests in our facility. Your job will be to diagnose, write service tickets, and help manage workflow that enters our facility. This work requires teaming, respect, and problem-solving with different parts of the organization. Responsibilities Act as the highest quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostic, and service writer Open work requests immediately upon receipt and close requests upon inspection completion Qualifying customer problems and logging them for technicians to review Liaise with with Shop Manager and Automotive Technicians to allocate workflow efficiently Estimate costs and for work to be carried out Maintain customer contact to ensure smooth delivery of vehicle Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking areas as needed Make key tags and handle on-site vehicles Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations Clean and detail vehicles, as needed Maintain a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful attitude in a dynamic environment Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical training preferred Basic knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in automotive services Toyota and or Tesla experience a plus Must have a high level of computer proficiency Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license Capable of standing, walking, and completing repeated physical actions and functions for 8 hours per day About Sally: Our mission is to be the most trusted vehicle and service provider across all markets.
