To learn more about our company please visit the following links: www.reliantrs.com and Summary: The role of the RMS Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will coordinate and complete all requested work, assign priorities, and follow up on completion. Classification: Non-exempt (overtime eligible); Non-Union Essential Functions/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following - Perform basic repairs and adjustments (i.e. carpentry work, painting, plastering, flooring work, demolition of walls, electrical, etc.) - Work closely with Property Manager/ Superintendent to help coordinate tasks - Coordinate with tenants to set times to access apartments to make repairs - Efficiently manage incoming service requests - Repair of walkways and exteriors - Track time and log activities/work completed for each job - Complete renovation projects as needed - Perform high-quality work with attention to detail - On-call to respond to tenant requests and issues Requirements: - Minimum 2 years experience with a successful track record as maintenance tech/handyman - High School diploma or GED preferred - Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of personal protective equipment - Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance - Able to handle a wide variety of repairs (including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.) - Good at troubleshooting and problem solving - Must possess strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure the safe operations of buildings - Able to work a flexible schedule and willing to travel - Owning all tools needed for general handyman tasks is a plus - Due to the physical nature of certain required tasks, must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time Benefits: - 401 (K) - We pay 100% of medical benefits, for employees only.
