Description

The CNC Operator is an essential part of the millwork team and ensures the success of every project with their attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. The CNC Operator will work closely with the Shop Foreman and General Manager to ensure all processes in the CNC department maximize efficiency and safety. The operator loads cut files and executes projects according to the production schedule and department goals. They collaborate with other department members to safely and efficiently complete the scope of work assigned to them. The programmer is always solution-oriented and knows how to communicate and troubleshoot any unforeseen situations in the production process. Responsibilities Manage flow of work through CNC department, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget Load and execute cut files for each project, being mindful of tooling and material requirements Manage sheet good inventory, ensuring adequate on-hand quantities for production schedule Label and organize completed projects for seamless hand off to assembly Maintain CNC router and surrounding area, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace Operate edgebander as needed Follow all established company production processes and safety protocols Help around shop as needed Skills/Qualifications · Minimum 3 years experience operating a CNC router; woodWOP experience preferred · Knowledge of best practices for CNC tooling · Ability to lift sheet goods on to CNC router table · Experience with edgebanding a plus · Experience with Cabinetvision a plus
